The fear begins

Thank you my wonderful friends. I am absolutely overwhelmed at your comments and I can't wait to share them with Tukka in a few years time. Thank you so very very much.

I am trying to relax about this but as each day goes by I am afraid I am getting a little more anxious.

Today I did another pregnancy test. Ok well, I actually did another three pregnancy tests. I thought they would be darker. But they weren't. They were about the same intensity except for one that was just plain negative.

Hubby has a theory that as I did the negative one last the other two had sucked up all the HCG.

But having said that, I looked back at the test about 5 minutes later and in the right light there is a faint second line. That must just be a stupid test (surely that is the reason!).

I am going to go get some of those tests that I first tested with, that was nice and strong - that will comfort me.

Then when they are gone - I must stop testing!

Time to go relax and knit. I have to try and find some way of relaxing.

take care all and a huge thank you again.

I've decided that pregnancy after a loss if just full of all kinds of fear from beginning to end. I'm scared to death, too, and I've still got a long way to go!

We're only a few weeks apart, you know! It'll be fun to read as you go through the same things too!

As for the hpt's some come from different dye lots and are fainter, there's a ton of reasons why one might do what that one did. Check out www.poas.com for all kinds of info on hpt's!

Bugsy, don't let the HPTs get you down. I notice that some brands are darker than others. When I was pregnant I bought a really cheap test because I honestly didn't even think I was pregnant. I was just testing to rule out pregnancy. But the line was really dark. The next morning I bought two of the most expensive brands and their lines were really light. Now I always buy the cheap ones. Don't worry; I'm sure little Tukka is doing just fine. (Also my husband thought the name "Tukka" was so adorable and wants to steal it from you when we get pregnant.)

Thanks guys. I feel better now - especially since I went and got the el-cheapo tests (you are so right Tara) and peed on one (and not with strong FMU either) and the second line came up again quickly and nice as strong.

Tara - I hope you get to use the name Tukka very soon - I will be watching.

Anne - yes this is very scary after a loss - I am so glad we can share this scaryness together.

Thanks Ladies

Thanks guys. Once again you are my pool of reason.

Shell - Why on earth are you worrying about me when you have your own health to think about? Get back on the couch with your knitting and relax hun. Hope you are feeling better and thank you.

Well George is finished bar the sewing up which I hope to have done soon. Should have a photo to post soon. Then I need to finish a cross stitch for the same friend's little bub due 2nd August and then I can start some things for Tukka.

Congratulations! It's so exciting. I'll tell you though... I NEVER got a "strong positive" on pregnancy tests when I conceived, so I wouldn't worry about that. Have you been to see your doc? Having a "congrats" come from someone official like that definitel made me feel better :)

The cheap tests took forever to get dark for me. The tests are all different.

Yeah! I'm so excited for you!
