Getting Organised

I'm getting organised.

I have booked an OB and he wants to see me at 6 weeks (well 5w5d) for an early scan - Yep - that is next Thursday when I get my first peek at Tukka! It will be a tad early for a heartbeat so I will be happy just seeing that there is a baby in there for now.

Prof. Media is posting me some forms for blood tests. He is on leave for 2 weeks so I will see when he gets back whether he wants to see me or not.

I am off to the GP today for a referral for the OB, I am going to ask for quantitative HCG blood tests too so I can be sure everything is going okay. I will also ask for a follow up one on Friday to make sure it is rising at an acceptable level (sometimes I think I read too much!).

I have been feeling good but very tired. Yesterday's full day at work was very draining. I came home, had a snooze for an hour, and then felt fine again.

Today I did 2 more hpts (Yes i know that makes 9 in total LOL I have got to stop), but because I felt so good I just got a little worried. After my shower I felt really hungry so I grabbed a bowl of cereal, and then it hit me - a huge wave of nausea which has stayed with me since. It was a struggle brushing my teeth I tell you. I thought you were supposed to feel sick, eat and then feel better, not the other way around!

So I am tired, sick and so very happy.

Bugsy, I'm so very excited for you! Regarding the HPT tests, I think that I would be testing as much as you...Bet you never get tired of seeing the two blue lines!
My advice with the nausea, try eating water crackers, they helped me.

Feeling sick always sucks, but just know that because you feel queasy, your HCG levels high, and that's a good thing. Just keep crackers and ginger ale on hand and you'll be fine. Hope you're having a great day!
