Alex's first big day

It's not his first day of school but it is just as momentus for Mum. (oh and for Alex as well).

Alex started Daycare today. I go back to work next week full time and Alex is going into a really nice daycare centre half way between home and my work. So to ease me (i mean Alex) into it, I started him this week at half days .

Today was his very first day there.

Alex coped really well.

Mum didn't do so well.

Does it get easier?

Yes. It is great Bugsy, after a while you will be fine and be amazed at how much you get done when you know your baby is being looked after by someone reliable and trustworthy. And he will love it. He might start getting upset when you leave him but be good about leaving quickly and saying you will be back to get him and he'll be fine. It's a whole new phase of the mummy journey Bugsy, congrats and enjoy!

Only a little for me...I still miss my little man and wonder what they are doing every second....

Ty is great but some days he just wants to be with his Momma and that is always hard....esp..when he cries...

I always ring half hour after I leave for peace of mind....if I have had to leave him upset..

xoxoxo

The first day was the hardest for me. It does get easier I think. You still miss them terribly though.

It is hard sending them off to day care, but it will get easier to deal with.

He's a very gorgeous little man Bugs, you guys have every right to be enormously proud!!

Yes it does get easier! and you will wonder why you cried the first time once you get a break.

Though with you starting work it means you wont totally get to enjoy the free time. But you will work out that you are more then just a mummy getting time away from him.

Hmm, this'll be me at some time in the next 6 months. I'm really looking forward to getting back to work but I know that I'll be a nervous wreck for the first week or so.

Yeah, HF&MD was the pits but all over now. Til only infected one other baby, thank goodness. Friends have told me that slap cheek is also going around. Good grief. It's awfully tempting to just indulge in barricade mentality and seal her up in a plakky ball until she's 21!

Ok, I have caught up on what I have missed. So glad you got over the sickness. It must have been horrible.
There are some beautiful pics of Alex there.. He is looking more like you Bugsy, absolutly adorable!
You'll get better at leaving him but expect the tears to reappear when he has his first day at school. How exciting...
Luv Lesley
