Mini Competition Number 1

The first ever Bugsy Competition.

I am so excited. Yesterday I went to an Op shop and bought a bunch of knitting books. I accidently bought two exactly the same, so when I got home and realised, I thought, "Lets make a mini competition and make the copy the prize". So here it is.

This is a picture of all that I bought: (descriptions are below in detail)

This is the prize:

For a chance to win this book, be the closest to guess how much I paid for it all.

Rules: You can only make one guess and the winner will be the one who was closest in their guess.

Detailed description. I bought:

  1. Patons - Ribs 'n' Cables for Men (also the prize!) 16 Patterns 60 pages
  2. Cleckheaton - Nature\silky wool 2 Patterns, 4 pages
  3. Cleckheaton - Toddlers Knits in 5, 8 & 12 ply 8 Patterns, 24 pages
  4. Patons - family pure new wool 5, 8 & 12 ply 16 Patterns, 28 pages
  5. Cleckheaton - Sweet Pea 2 designs 6 pages
  6. Cleckheaton - Faux Fur 2 designs 4 pages
  7. Sirdar Babies in Crochet, 7 sets of patterns, 40 pages
  8. Woman's Day Family knitting '86, 60 patterns, 148 pages
  9. Shepherd Only Kidding, winter collection Vol2, 37 patterns, 68 pages
  10. Cleckheaton - Sweet Pea 8 ply - 2 designs, 6 pages
  11. Patons - Summer handknits for toddlers in Stonewash, Cottontop, Cotton Perle 4 patterns, 16 pages
  12. Cleckheaton Mens Collection 5 - 8 Patterns, 28 Pages
  13. Tricots de France - (French Fashions - ooolala) 28 Patterns 60 Pages

Competition will close this Sunday night, Winner announced on Monday! Now I know this isn't the most exciting prize on this earth, but I think it is a nice pattern book, and there are some things in there that I will definately end up doing. Judging by the guys glasses, this is about 20 years old (maybe more?) but still good.

So - If you want a chance to get this pattern book - have a guess!

Bugsy I can't knit so I won't even hazard a guess, but just wanted to comment and say that the expression on Spectacle Man's face is priceless! You could almost attach a thought balloon, something like:

"Ooh. So that's where that other knitting needle went."

hehehe OvaGirl - loved your comment on spectacles man! LOL.

Shell, as you are the only one who has guessed, I can safely say you are the closest so far LOL

Lesley, love to hear about all the bargains you got. BB is stupidly addictive but I am luckily only half addicted - I don't watch all the time (which means you have to tell me all the goss).
