This is what I did today. I decided to frog the wide scarf as I already have a wide scarf on the go (in purple) and so I completely unravelled the wide one and reknitted the entire ball with 20 stitches. I think it looks great still. It is actually even all the way round - I just didn't shape it before taking the picture and I am too lazy to fix it and take another picture. So 1 ball down and two more to go.
