Please meet "paw" and more stuff

This is "Paw". I think he is pretty cute. All the squares are for a secret project. Can't talk about it because, you know, it is like.... secret. Let's just say it will end up going to a good home.

I still haven't bought any yarn (whoo hoo), but I did buy some knitting needles - as set of Bamboo ones actually in a lovely tapestry case. They were $9.95 at Dimmeys. I thought they were lovely. I also bought a variety of Crochet hooks ( gold tipped) sizes .6mm, .75mm, 1mm, 1.25mm, 1.5mm, 1.75mm- not sure if they will be useful of not, but at 49cents each, I thought it was worth the gamble. They also each came with a plastic cover for the tip end to protect it.

As for me, well I never made that stupid meeting yesterday. I have been battling with what I think is tonsilitis for over two weeks now, and my hand\wrist is still hurting, but yesterday I had such a migraine that I started slurring my words, and feeling like I was going to be terrible ill, so I came home and slept for a few hours. I have a bit of a fever and migraine still today but I am trying so hard to take all my meds and eat correctly. Today is day 6 of taking my meds correctly (whoo hoo), and after a chat with a very good friend this morning (Thanks Net), I am reading my pcos diet book and had a good breakfast as well.

Now I am off to make pumpkin soup in the slow cooker. Hubbs is still in bed - he is terribly grumpy and grumbled earlier that he wanted a coffee - I got him one and said "would you like extra attitude with that?" LOL. Hopefully hubbs will get out of bed soon (it is after all, after midday) and we can go shopping. I need a new deep pot for cooking up the dogs food. I hope to also drop into my brother's place and see how he is. I haven't seen him for quite a while.

Have a lovely weekend all.

Your afghan is going to be really sweet ... I'm assuming its for a baby or young child considering the color and motifs!

I did a blue and white one last winter, but it was for myself ... so it was done with different stitches for each square.

I've never used bamboo needles, but just inherited my MIL's stash of crochet and knitting 'tools'. It amounts to a large size plastic container FULL of needles of every size ... hooks or knitting! As well as specialty hooks. I won't need to buy needles ever again. The aluminum needles work fine for me.

Can't wait to see your finished project ... I hope you are going to post pictures of it!

Bugs - I can't wait to see the finished product of your secret rug. When do you think that you will be finished?
I'm thinking about knitting one for myself (for starters) and another for my SIL.
