Trigger Happy

Yay!!!!!!

My scan went well today. 4 follicles on either side. The right ovary had one dominant one - 11mm, and the left ovary had one dominant one of 19mm (really good). She noted there was another one of 9mm too. All the rest of the follies were too small to worth noting sizes.

Blood test came back great too.

Oestrogen - 980
Progesterone - 8.1
LJ - 16.5

So my instructions are to stop doing the injections I have been doing, and tonight as early as possible (I asked what early was and she said 6pm is good) give myself the Pregnyl (HCG) trigger shot to trigger ovulation.

Then we have to babydance tomorrow, Friday and Saturday. (I am also going to tell hubbs she said tonight as well hehe).

Another blood test on Monday to see if I have ovulated.

So - me being the ultimate woosey, I immediately rang my GP and booked an appointment at 6pm. I went and after a bit of a struggle to get him to understand what I wanted, I got him to do the trigger shot for me. He was excellent. It didn't hurt a bit. He did it so very slowly. Only now - 20 mins later is it starting to hurt just a little bit. I am so glad I wasn't the one with my finger on the ahem..... trigger (hehe)

So the struggle I had with him was that the pack contains 3 vials of powder 1500 iu each and 3 vials of water. They told me to mix 2 vials of powder (total 3000 iu) with 1 vial of water. He wanted to do all the powder and all the liquid because that was what was in the box. But eventually he did the ones I asked him to do.

He also wanted to give me the shot in the arm, and I said "No, they told me in the stomach just like the other shots I am doing, and it also says it right here on the leaflet - "under the skin in the stomach area"" - so he finally did what I asked.

In the end I am very happy I went and got him to do it rather than attempting it on my own.

Now just have to attack hubbs when he comes home - hehe

Triggerific huh.

(ok I think I am out of trigger jokes)

Work was okay. I met with the sales dude and he was okay. I acted totally professional even though I knew I was proverbally signing my own career death warrant. When all is said and done, nobody can ever accuse me of acting unprofessionally. My boss delicately asked me how it went afterwards and I told him "well I didn't kick him out of the building if that is what you are wondering". hehe

I think I will use my three weeks off at Christmas to see what sort of jobs are out there. I also need to think about what it is I want in a job now. Do I start looking for something a little less stressful?

Are you looking for another sys admin job? Windows and/or Linux? Fulltime or contract? If Linux I can get Matt to ask around for you if you want. And if contract he can ask the company who manages his contract if there are any available (he's currently with Hudson but Candle recruitment are also fantastic).

Let us know what you're looking for and we'll pass it around and see what comes up. Hell, if they don't up Matt's pay soon there might be a job at the State Library for you.
