Ho Ho Ho

It's Christmas time and the fat lady is traipsing around the shops in search of gifts for loved ones.

I decided to go to the local shopping centre on my way home from work tonight. I was happily browsing in a shop when a little girl of about 5 or 6 pointed to me and said "Look, that's a fat lady Mum" in an "astonished because I am gazing upon someone so fat" type of voice and Mum just smiled and nodded.

I, of course, burst into tears, left the shopping centre and came straight home. And they wonder why some people fear leaving their own homes.

So this is how the world sees me! Are the adults just more tactful? Are they thinking the same thing as the kids, but are just too polite to say anything?

I wish I could lose weight. I really do. It just isn't that simple.

Now is it okay if I never leave home again?

´fraid not babe. The world out there NEEDS you, even if some 6 year old can´t recognise that yet.
