a 12 week scan with a difference

This 12 week scan had:
* a live baby
* a healthy baby with 2 arms, 2 legs, 2 hands, 2 feet, and perfect size for dates
* a good nuchal fold
* the word "normal" used a lot.

Baby Bugs is fine. His/her size is great and he/she was really active until the CD recording started and then it was back turned and quietened down. There was some movement, and some hand waving and the ultrasound dude said everything was Normal. Did you hear that? NORMAL. I really love the use of that word.

We got a Cd and it is really cool. I have watched it a few times already.

I am just waiting on the phone to call with the combined blood test/u/s results for the risk of downs - I hope that is good. I thought they would have called by now. I hope they call soon. I will update this post as soon as I hear.

In the meantime here are some happy snaps. Head is on the right, and that is a hand waving up the top. All other limbs are in front of bubs who kept his/her back turned the entire time - bloody kids.

Update: risk of downs: 1:663 Doc says this is fine and not to worry about anything and no need for amnio or anything.

Now I can relax a little.
