Please say some words of hope for Maddison

This is Maddison (ears up):
and ears down:
She is my beautiful border collie cross jack russell dog. She is 5 years old and she has heartworm. Despite being medicated her entire life she was vulnerable when we were tardy giving her her medication. Please never be tardy with your dogs heartworm tablets - Please!

Today she went in for her treatment. It's a pretty horrible treatment and is going to be tough on all of us. She spends today at the vets - an injection of an arsenic based drug this morning and monitoring all day. Then she comes home for the night and we repeat the process again tomorrow.

Then we are on our own. She has to be caged up in a very small cage with only enough room to turn around in and maybe take one step. She stays in that cage for 4 to 6 weeks. She is only allowed out to go to the toilet and even then we have to have her on a short lead and make her walk not run.

Despite all this care, we may still lose her , especially during the first couple of weeks.

I am so scared. I am terrified of losing my baby. We had so many cuddles over the weekend and I told her to be so strong and to fight this thing because we love her heaps.

So if you can spare a moment today, can you please say some words of hope? She needs all she can get today.

Thank you.

Maddison is a gorgeous dog! She is in my thoughts and prayers .... hang in there .... put her in God's hands and think positive thoughts.

If love can help she has an abundance of it!

Hugs and love.
