a little worried again

Last night I got some brown gunky stuff when I wiped. I have had it again this morning. It really worries me. I just hope all the coughing hasn't done any damage. I know as long as it doesn't change to bright red it is probably okay, but it still scares me.

Very glad I am home resting today. I plan on doing a LOT of that for the next few days.

Please let everything be okay.

I can't believe you're at 9 weeks already! That's just fantastic. I hope the brown stuff goes away and you can feel 'safer' about your pregnancy.

Oh, and that doctor's a bitch.

brown stuff is no biggie, even though we all freak out if we see it. It usually signifies a few burst blood vessels in the cervix.

I agree with Kim about the doctor. Nice bedside manner - NOT.

Hi Bugsy
The very best thing for you and baby bugsy is to stay positive, believe in each other and enjoy this time. The doctor is being ridiculous, it would be very difficult to hide a pregnancy up to 20 weeks anyway!
Brown stuff is really normal even though its a little scary.
Nurture yourself through this patch, once you are feeling better you'll have more strength and energy to focus.

Arrrrrrrrhhhh!!! Enough of the pessimism from all these doctors already. What is their problem? She could also tell you not to cross the road for the rest of your life because things could go wrong and you COULD be hit by a bus. grrrrrr COULD be, Maybe, might, perhaps pfffffft to them all, do they have a crystal ball or something? I am flying to Melbourne tomorrow and I know there's a risk, will it stop me from stepping on that plane, NOPE. Tell the silly woman to pull her head in and if you wanted her friggin opinion you would ask for it :-( Don't you go listening to these twits, if anyone else offers you their wonderful wise words of wisdom do the following: Clamp both hands over your ears very tightly and say very loudly LA....LA....LA...I CAN'T HEAR YOU!!!!

Now repeat after me "I Bugsy Malone, here by solemnly swear that I will stay positive, will repel negative thoughts and ignore negative comments made by a**holes, w*nkers,b*tches,sh*theads and pratty doctors in general". "I will get past the 1st trimester with flying colours, I will zip through second trimester without a glance and I will breeze through the 3rd followed by a wonder birth and healthy baby in my arms." "This I solemnly swear".

Take it easy Bugs and if you need someone to sort em out for you let me know coz I am in the mood to do some bodily harm!

cheers,
Leoni

Brown gunk isn't necessarily bad ... brown means "old blood". We like old blood more than "new blood" :) It's very common in pregnancy, honestly.

And your doctor needs to relax. Seriously. 20 weeks??? Gimme a break.
